Award-winning documentary Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey comes to Vermont in March

February 3, 2012

Wow. If you haven’t had a chance to watch the trailer for the award-winning documentary Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey now’s your chance. We think it’ll brighten your day.

The film is the story of puppeteer and Elmo creator Kevin Clash, who grew up building puppets as a child in Baltimore and eventually made his way to his dream job: working with the Jim Henson Workshop on Sesame Street.

CLiF was so impressed with the inspirational message of Being Elmo that we signed on with the good folks at the Green Mountain Film Festival to be a community partner for its screenings of Being Elmo in March.

Being Elmo‘s Vermont screenings will take place at City Hall Arts Center in Montpelier on these dates and times:

Saturday, March 17 at 11.30 a.m.
Tuesday, March 20 at 4 p.m.
Sunday,  March 25 at 6:15 p.m.

The Green Mountain Film Festival presents films of cultural, social, and historical interest every year in Montpelier. In recent years, they’ve also begun to screen films in Burlington and St. Johnsbury. They also showcase work by Vermont filmmakers. Check out their website to learn more about the Green Mountain Film Festival and its parent organization, Focus on Film.
