An unexpected donation…

March 7, 2012

As you may know, CLiF welcomes donations of new children’s books, which we give away at our storytelling events.   We often receive boxes from book drives or private donors who generously take the time to buy or collect books on our behalf.  Although these books will be redistributed to the children of Vermont and New Hampshire, it still feels a little like Christmas when and unexpected box arrives.  I love paging through the new books, knowing someone, somewhere, probably put a lot of thought into which book to buy for a drive.

Yesterday, I arrived to work to find a small package on my desk.  This is what I found:

Joseph’s donation will be put into our library, and eventually will be chosen by a young reader and taken home.   It just goes to show that no donation is too small.  Thank you Joseph!
